Duets and Trios

  1. Refer to Rules 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 22, 24, 49, 52, 64 and 80. Read all Syllabus rules and regulations with care.
  2. Performance times MUST be included on the entry form.
  3. Maximum performance time - 6 Minutes.
  4. Music choices DO NOT have to be from RCM or Conservatory Canada Popular Lists.
  5. Fiddle pieces are permitted.
  6. Sheet music must be provided to the adjudicators (No charts or tabs permitted).
  7. Repeats can be played as long as performance time remains within the maximum allotted.
  8. Participants have the option to participate either "in person" or "virtually". This decision must be made at the time of registration.
  9. Participants who choose the virtual option will be responsible for arranging to have a video recording made of their performance and for creating a YouTube channel that can be shared with the Toronto Kiwanis Festival Office via the online registration system.
  10. All classes in this section are eligible to proceed to the Provincial level of competition (June, 2024) upon adjudicator recommendation. Participants should be aware that a minimum of 3 pieces are required for the Provincial Finals and that the Provincial's registration deadline will be March 25, 2024.
