- Refer to Rules 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 22, 23, 24, 25, 49, 53, 54, 55, 65 and 80. Read all Syllabus rules with care.
- Competitors entering Open classes may not enter Section 6 (Graded) classes.
- A competitor wishing to play a concerto must enter Section 8 Concertos.
- All music in this section must be of at least ARCT, Licentiate, or equivalent level (not necessarily on current lists). Grade 10 or lower not acceptable.
- To be eligible for a scholarship, competitors must enter a minimum of TWO classes and receive a minimum mark of 85.
- Performance times MUST be included on the entry form.
- NEW: Participants may enter a class more than once as long as different repertoire is entered. A separate registration is required for each entry.
- A piece cannot be used by a competitor in more than one class. Repertoire which does not coincide with stated categories will result in disqualification. See Rule 25.
- Participants have the option to participate either "in person" or "virtually". This decision must be made at the time of registration.
- Participants who choose the virtual option will be responsible for arranging to have a video recording made of their performance and for creating a YouTube channel that can be shared with the Toronto Kiwanis Festival Office via the online registration system.
- All classes in this section are eligible to proceed to the Provincial level of competition (June 2025) upon adjudicator recommendation. Participants should be aware that a minimum of two (2) pieces are required for the Provincial Finals and that the Provincial's registration deadline will be March 30, 2025.
