Music, Speech Arts & Visual Arts Syllabus - 2026 - Voice
Jazz, Rag or Blues
- Refer to Rules 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 18, 19, 25, 50, 53, 65 and 80. Read all Syllabus rules with care.
- NEW: Participants may enter a class more than once as long as different repertoire is entered. A separate registration is required for each entry.
- A piece of music, whether prescribed or own choice, cannot be used by a competitor in more than one class.
- To be eligible for a scholarship, competitors must enter a minimum of TWO classes and receive a minimum mark of 85.
- Performance times MUST be included on the entry form.
- Participants have the option to participate either "in person" or "virtually". This decision must be made at the time of registration.
- Participants who choose the virtual option will be responsible for arranging to have a video recording made of their performance and for creating a YouTube channel that can be shared with the Toronto Kiwanis Festival Office via the online registration system.
- All classes in this section are eligible to proceed to the Provincial level of competition in Kitchener-Waterloo (June 8-13, 2026) upon adjudicator recommendation. The Provincial's registration deadline will be March 28, 2026.
