BIPOC Composers

  1. Refer to Rules 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 22, 23, 24, 25, 49, 53, 54, 55, 65 and 80. Read all Syllabus rules with care.
  2. Performance times MUST be included on the entry form.
  3. Pieces selected must be composed by a BIPOC composer.
  4. NEW: Participants may enter a class more than once as long as different repertoire is entered. A separate registration is required for each entry.
  5. A piece cannot be used by a competitor in more than one class. Repertoire which does not coincide with stated categories will result in disqualification. See Rule 25.
  6. To be eligible for a scholarship, competitors must enter a minimum of TWO classes and receive a minimum mark of 85.
  7. Participants have the option to participate either "in person" or "virtually". This decision must be made at the time of registration.
  8. Participants who choose the virtual option will be responsible for arranging to have a video recording made of their performance and for creating a YouTube channel that can be shared with the Toronto Kiwanis Festival Office via the online registration system.
