Concerto
- Refer to Rules 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 22, 23, 24, 25, 49, 53, 54, 55, 65 and 80. Read all Syllabus rules with care.
- Own choice of any concerto.A competitor cannot play the same concerto in the conerto and regular graded classes
- Repertoire does not need to be listed in the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) or Conservatory Canada (CC) syllabus.
- NEW: Participants may enter a class more than once as long as different repertoire is entered. A separate registration is required for each entry.
- A piece of music, whether prescribed or own choice, cannot be used by a competitor in more than one class.
- To be eligible for a scholarship, competitors must enter a minimum of TWO classes and receive a minimum mark of 85.
- Participants have the option to participate either "in person" or "virtually". This decision must be made at the time of registration.
Participants who choose the virtual option will be responsible for arranging to have a video recording made of their performance and for creating a YouTube channel that can be shared with the Toronto Kiwanis Festival Office via the online registration system. - All classes in this section are eligible to proceed to the Provincial level of competition which will be held in Kitchener-Waterloo, June 9-14, 2025, upon adjudicator recommendation. Participants should be aware that one (1) concerto is required for the Provincial Finals and that the Provincial's registration deadline will be March 30, 2025.
