Duets and Trios
- Refer to Rules 12, 13, 14, 15, 18, 19, 24, 25, 50, 53, 65 and 80. Read all Syllabus rules with care.
- Memorization is required.
- NEW: Participants may enter a class more than once as long as different repertoire is entered. A separate registration is required for each entry.
- A piece of music, whether prescribed or own choice, cannot be used by a competitor in more than one class.
- All selections in this category must be covers from commercial artists and/or an original composition.
- Competitors must enter the class corresponding to the age of the oldest member of the duet/trio.
- To be eligible for a scholarship, competitors must enter a minimum of TWO classes and receive a minimum mark of 85.
- Musical Theatre and Classical Voice selections are not permitted.
- Performance times MUST be included on the entry form.
- Participants have the option to participate either "in person" or "virtually". This decision must be made at the time of registration.
- Participants who choose the virtual option will be responsible for arranging to have a video recording made of their performance and for creating a YouTube channel that can be shared with the Toronto Kiwanis Festival Office via the online registration system.
- All classes in this section are eligible to proceed to the Provincial level of competition which will be held in Kitchener-Waterloo, June 9-14, 2025, upon adjudicator recommendation. Participants should be aware that two (2) pieces are required for the Provincial Finals and that the Provincial's registration deadline will be March 30, 20255.
