- Performance times MUST be included on the entry form.
- Maximum performance time - 6 Minutes.
- NEW: Participants may enter a class more than once as long as different repertoire is entered. A separate registration is required for each entry.
- A piece cannot be used by a competitor in more than one class. Repertoire which does not coincide with stated categories will result in disqualification. See Rule 25.
- Music choices DO NOT have to be from RCM or Conservatory Canada Lists. Please note that "contemporary pieces" from these lists should be entered in Section 4.
- Repeats can be played as long as performance time remains within the maximum allotted.
- Music choices MUST be covers of POPULAR pieces from radio, streaming channels, tv shows, movies themes, etc.
- Sheet music must be provided to the adjudicators (No charts or tabs permitted).
- Participants who choose the virtual option will be responsible for arranging to have a video recording made of their performance and for creating a YouTube channel that can be shared with the Toronto Kiwanis Festival Office via the online registration system.
- All classes in this section are eligible to proceed to the Provincial level of competition which will be held in Kitchener-Waterloo, June 9-14, 2025, upon adjudicator recommendation.
Participants should be aware that only 1 piece is required for the Provincial Finals and that the Provincial's registration deadline will be March 30, 2025.
