String Duets
- Refer to Rules 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 22, 23, 24, 25, 49, 53, 54, 55, 65 and 80. Read all Syllabus rules with care.
- Competitors must enter the class corresponding to the age of the oldest member of the duet/trio.
- Memorization is optional, but encouraged.
- Performance times MUST be included on the entry form.
- To be eligible for a scholarship, competitors must enter a minimum of two classes and receive a minimum mark of 85.
- All classes in this section are eligible to proceed to Provincials (June, 2025) and are marked with a "P".
- Participants have the option to participate either "in person" or "virtually". This decision must be made at the time of registration.
- PLEASE NOTE: If at least one competitor in the duet is playing at the ARCT level, they must enter the Open duet class.
- NEW: Participants may enter a class more than once as long as different repertoire is entered. A separate registration is required for each entry.
- Participants who choose the virtual option will be responsible for arranging to have a video recording made of their performance and for creating a YouTube channel that can be shared with the Toronto Kiwanis Festival Office via the online registration system.
- All classes in this section are eligible to proceed to the Provincial level of competition in Kitchener-Waterloo, June 9-14, 2025) upon adjudicator recommendation. Participants should be aware that only 1 piece is required for the Provincial Finals and that the Provincial's registration deadline will be March 30, 2025.
