Chinese Instruments - Ensembles
- Refer to Rules 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 22, 23, 24, 25, 49, 53, 54, 55, 65 and 80. Read all Syllabus rules with care.
- The ensemble must consist of a minimum of four individuals to a maximum of fifteen individuals. The average of the ages of all participants must be equal or be less than the category entered.
- Memorization is optional, but encouraged.
- NEW: Participants may enter a class more than once as long as different repertoire is entered. A separate registration is required for each entry.
- A piece cannot be used by a competitor in more than one class. Repertoire which does not coincide with stated categories will result in disqualification. See Rule 25.
- Performance times MUST be included on the entry form.
- Participants have the option to participate either "in person" or "virtually". This decision must be made at the time of registration.
- Participants who choose the virtual option will be responsible for arranging to have a video recording made of their performance and for creating a YouTube channel that can be shared with the Toronto Kiwanis Festival Office via the online registration system.
- All classes in this section are eligible to proceed to the Provincial level of competition which will be held in Kitchener-Waterloo, June 9-14, 2025, upon adjudicator recommendation.
Participants should be aware that only one (1) piece is required for the Provincial Finals and that the Provincial's registration deadline will be March 30, 2025.
