Mixed Instrumentation

1. Refer to Rules 12, 13, 14, 17, 18, 23, 52, 53 and 80. Read all Syllabus rules with care.
2. Own choice. Time limit of 10 minutes for all classes except where specified, includes assembly, tuning, warm-up and performance.
3. Any combination of instruments.
4. Piano accompaniment is permitted for duets and trios.
5. Standard Chamber repertoire for trios and quartets is not permitted in these classes. Chamber groups should enter Section 227.
6. The Festival does not make music stands available to competitors in solo or small group classes.
7. Competitors should be aware that all classes marked with a "P" make a competitor potentially eligible to proceed to the Provincial finals (June, 2023).
8. Performance times MUST be included on the entry form.
9. Participants have the option to participate either "in person" or "virtually". This decision must be made at the time of registration.
10. Participants who choose the virtual option will be responsible for arranging to have a video recording made of their performance and for creating a YouTube channel that can be shared with the Toronto Kiwanis Festival Office via the online registration system.
11. All classes in this section are eligible to proceed to the Provincial level of competition (June, 2024) upon adjudicator recommendation. Participants should be aware that 2 pieces are required for the Provincial Finals and that the Provincial's registration deadline will be March 25, 2024
