Section 125: Harp

Section Notes

  1. Refer to Rules 11, 12, 13, 18, 20, 21, 23, 40 and 47. Read all Syllabus rules with care.
  2. All music for Open classes must be at the ARCT level or above. Competitors to check Current RCM and Conservatory Canada lists. Grade 10 or lower not acceptable.
  3. To be eligible for a scholarship, competitors must enter a minimum of two classes and receive a minimum mark of 85.
  4. Performance times MUST be included on the entry form.
  5. Classes marked with (“P”) beside them are eligible to proceed to the Provincial Music Festival to be held in June, 2022.
  6. Participants will be responsible for arranging to have a video recording made of their performance and for creating a YouTube channel that can be shared with the Toronto Kiwanis Festival Office via the online registration system.
  7. It is the competitor’s responsibility to abide by any and all government guidelines regarding physical distancing as of the date you submit your video.

Section 126: Harp

Section Notes

  2. Memorization is optional but recommended. Bonus points will be award for memorization.
  3. Competitors should be aware that all classes marked with a “P” make a competitor potentially eligible to proceed to the Provincial finals (June, 2022)
  4. To be eligible for a scholarship, competitors must enter a minimum of two classes and receive a minimum mark of 85.
  5. Da capo and dal segno signs must be played. Repeats should NOT be played unless otherwise indicated in either the RCM or CC Syllabus.
  6. Performance times MUST be included on the entry form.
  7. Participants will be responsible for arranging to have a video recording made of their performance and for creating a YouTube channel that can be shared with the Toronto Kiwanis Festival Office via the online registration system.

  2. Performance times MUST be included on the entry form.
  3. To be eligible for a scholarship, competitors must enter a minimum of two classes and receive a minimum mark of 85.
  4. A piece cannot be used by a competitor in more than one class. Repertoire which does not coincide with stated categories will result in disqualification. See Rule 23.
  5. Participants will be responsible for arranging to have a video recording made of their performance and for creating a YouTube channel that can be shared with the Toronto Kiwanis Festival Office via the online registration system.
  6. It is the competitor’s responsibility to abide by any and all government guidelines regarding physical distancing as of the date you submit your video.
