Section 150: Community Orchestras
Section Notes
- Refer to Rules 18 and 37. Read all Syllabus rules with care.
- Own choice of one or two selections. Time limit 20 minutes including assembly, warm-up, tuning and performance.
- School orchestra classes are listed in Section 180-189.
- Performance times MUST be included on the entry form.
Class 150-01 – Community Orchestras – Open
Fee: $140.00
Class 150-02 – Community String Orchestras – Open (Without Piano) – 21 or more Players
Fee: $140.00
Class 150-03 – Community String Orchestras – 20 Players or Less (Without Piano)
Fee: $140.00
Class 150-04 – Community String Orchestras – Age 16 & Under
Fee: $140.00
Class 150-05 – Fiddle String Orchestra with Fiddle Repertoire – Open
Fee: $140.00
Own choice of two contrasting selections.
Class 150-06 – Community String Orchestras – Open – Adults – Non-Competitive
Fee: $140.00
Own choice of two contrasting selections in different keys and tempi.
Class 150-07 – Community String Orchestras – Age 12 & Under
Fee: $140.00
Section 151: Community Ensembles – Mixed Instrumentation

- Refer to Rules 18, 19, 20 and 37. Read all Syllabus rules with care.
- Own choice of one or two mvts. of a selection from standard chamber repertoire. Competitors to list instrumentation on entry form.
- Competitors must provide their own music stands.
- School mixed instrumentation classes are listed in Section 200.
- Performance times MUST be included on the entry form.
