Section 100: Trumpet Solos – Open – ARCT & Above

Section Notes

  2. In all Open classes selections do not need to be memorized, but it is strongly encouraged.
  3. All music for Open classes must be at the ARCT level or above. Competitors to check Current RCM and Conservatory Canada lists. Grade 10 or lower not acceptable.
  4. To be eligible for a scholarship, competitors must enter a minimum of two classes and receive a minimum mark of 85.
  5. Performance times MUST be included on the entry form.
  6. Participants have the option to participate either “in person” or “virtually”.  This decision must be made at the time of registration.
  7. Participants who choose the virtual option will be responsible for arranging to have a video recording made of their performance and for creating a YouTube channel that can be shared with the Toronto Kiwanis Festival Office via the online registration system.
  8. All classes in this section are eligible to proceed to the Provincial level of competition (June, 2024) upon adjudicator recommendation.  Participants should be aware that 2 pieces are required for the Provincial Finals and that the Provincial’s registration deadline will be March 25, 2024
