Isaac Yisak Seo

Canadian pianist and conductor Isaac Yisak, Seo has performed in Palais des Beaux Arts in Brussels, Salle Pleyel in Paris, Place des Arts in Montreal, Paganini hall in Italy, Koerner Hall in Toronto and more. Isaac was one of the two Canadian pianists to compete in the 2005 International Chopin Piano Competition in Poland and 2007 International Queen Elizabeth Competition in Belgium. He is a prize winner from the International stepping stone competition, International Flame Paris competition, Kiwanis music festival, Montreal Symphony Competition OSM, Canadian Music Competition and more.

Isaac was a guest artist at the Orford Art Centre in Quebec and his programe including Chopin, Beethoven and Canadian Composer, Jaque Hetu was broadcasted on CBC Classical Radio Station.

Isaac has studied at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, Montreal University, Conservatory de Belgium. He received the Bachelors degree at the Juilliard School and Masters Degree from the Manhattan School of Music. Isaac's musical mentors includes, Peter Longworth, Marc Durand, John Perry, Leon Fleisher, Jacques Rouvier, Yoheved Kaplinsky, Evegeny Moguilevsky, Phillip Kawin, Andre Laplante, Anton Kuerti, Alfred Brendel and Martha Argerich. Isaac's solo piano career has led him tour major halls in Paris, Rome, New York, Belgium, Atri, Toronto, Montreal and more.

As an adjudicator, he has adjudicated numerous music competitions including, OYMI competition, CMC (Canadian Music Competition), OMFA (Ontario Music Festivals Associations Provincials competition, New York Vocal competition, Young Arts Music Competition in New York, Unionville Music competition and conducted master classes and workshop.

​As a Piano Pedagogue, his pupils have won prizes from Pre-college concerto competition in NYC, CMC (Canadian Music Competition) in Toronto, Lincoln Center Debut competition in NYC, Junior-Bachauer in Utah, Kiwanis Music festival, OYMI and a $10,000 Scholarship from the National Young Arts Foundation Competition in the United States. His students have appeared as soloists with orchestras in New York, Chicago, Philadelphia and Toronto.

​Isaac is the artistic director of the TKCC Toronto Korean Canadian Choir and conducts OYMI Youth Orchestra.
